Colorado

Well, I still can't figure out how to get my pictures into a good order. oh well. In June, we flew to Colorado for Jarl's parents 50th wedding anniversary. While we were there, we had a great time with cousins, aunts and uncles.
We stopped at a creek somewhere up in the mountains. I know it has a name, i just don't remember what it is.

This is Grandma Kleinman, Haley, Addison and Emmaline.

she's a big girl now, you know.... not quite sure which one I am talking about...
Reminds me of sophie throwing rocks in the bitterroot river in Montana!
My beautiful girls!! they are growing way too fast!

At the airport in Denver, our first layover......
Marin looking out of the windows at the planes landing and taking off. She is not exactly an easy flier at this stage in her busy life...

Halloween, 2009

Ok, I am trying to get it together, and since my caffiene has kicked in.... here are some pics from Halloween. We trick or treated in Lexington this year. It was fun. Emmaline was "the pick of the litter" Sophie went as an American Indian, and Marin was a little bug. The fall colors this year were amazing.

I am not quite sure what she was thinking in this..... she was in a sugar stupor, but that other kid isn't very cute!!

Christmas 2009

Ok, so I am a little behind on a lot of things.... but here are a few highlights of our Christmas Festivities. Christmas was a great time, but I am glad to have moved on, and cleaned it all up.

Christmas morning, after most of the presents were opened. It is always fun to get into new clothes and play with the new stuff.
A few nights before Christmas, we drove through a local neighborhood to see the Christmas lights. This was one of our favorite houses. The girls don't understand why we won't do this to our home...

Sophie and Emmaline in their Christmas/recital dresses. They performed on this Concert Grand Steinway for their recital. We are so proud of their hard work and dedication to learning the piano. Aren't they beautiful? I sure think so.
We also rode the Santa Train. I think that is what it is called. We almost missed it-- it is out side of Bardstown, Ky, and took a lot longer to get their than mapquest said it would. Santa came through and spoke with all of the kids, then the conductor took tickets, and hot chocolate and cookies were served. The kids really liked it. Marin was not too sure about Santa and Rudolph.

Emmaline telling Santa she wants a Wii

Sophie and Emmaline playing the Wii, that Santa brought. Way to go Emma, glad she asked for it
Marin with one of her stuffed animals.
We started a new tradition in our home this year. In the past, we have done Christmas Eve at my sisters house in Lexington. This year, our "family Christmas" was earlier, so the girls and I thought it would be fun to do a formal dinner. just us. We set the table with china and everyone had to dress up. No sweats, hair had to be done, a little makeup put on. Complete with candle light. Marin even had her own stem ware.
I just love my little family!!

more Florida

Here are some more pics from the vacation. We were able to swim with Rays, and touch them, snorkel in a coral reef, with all kinds of exotic fish, swim with the dolphins--ours was named Capricorn. It was the best week ever. Emmaline had so much fun, as did the rest of us, but she was so happy, never complained, never cried, never whined, walked for hours on end, and was a real trooper!!
The beach was a blast. We built a sand castle, body surfed, and just had a wonderful relaxing day.
I can't wait to do it again.
